L'observatoire ouvre sur un étang très ouvert, favorable à de nombreux canards, limicoles ou hérons. Observation : recommandée l'après-midi. De l'autre côté du chemin, à 50m au nord, caché dans la haie, se trouve un point d'écoute pour les passereaux printaniers.
